WARNING: This article contains extremely large amounts of very detailed spoiler information regarding TNG's "Parallels". I strongly suggest that anyone not already privy to this information avoid the article for the time being. Two words: "Schrodinger's Klingon." Great, great fun. FURY FROM THE DEEP. Written by Victor Pemberton. 6 episodes. 16th March - 20th April 1968. COMPANIONS:- Jamie and Victoria. The TARDIS lands on a gas rig in the North Sea which is experiencing some kind of sabotage. The refinery boss, Robson, blames them for the disappearances of his rig crews and leaks and pressure build ups. The Doctor can hear a strange heartbeat in the pipes but Robson refuses to stop the gas flow. The riggers have penetrated a deep stratum, releasing a weed parasite which absorbs humans or ingests their brains, turning them into creatures which are half man, half weed. The weed attacks the refinery but when Victoria kills one with a scream, the Doctor realises that amplified sound can be used as a weapon. Having killed all of the creatures, the Doctor is ready to leave but Victoria wants to stay behind. This story is another "lost" classic available from BBC Audio

Piechart was needing a StarChip to fulfill two lifelong goals : #1 - to find out just who this GURU guy really was, and why he had to meditate so darned much. And #2 Why was Manuel Noriega so darned ugly. For th
