Kathy T

Kathy T is a character from the story, "A Christmas Wish For A GI," included in a published collection of short stories titled, "Humidity Moon" by Michael Rodriguez. It's a story about a young GI in Vietnam who receives a letter from a girl (Kathy T) back in "the World" and the correspondence between them until they finally meet. The story of Kathy T also appears on Rodriguez' Website, also titled "Humidity Moon."

In this scene, Kathy T holds a letter from Rod, a young Marine fighting in Vietnam. Warm and safe in her family home in Chicago, she looks out her window at the wind and rain, and she wonders where he is and if he is safe tonight. Imagine playing softly in the background, the old tune "Tell It Like It Is" by Aaron Neville, which was Kathy and Rod's song.

Created in Bryce 4 and Poser 4, the image "Kathy T" is a collaboration between Jo and Rosy Baldwin and Cheryl Boswell. The Peace Poster on her wall, (upper left) was created and contributed by Richard Graniczny, then made into a 2D object prior to importing into Bryce. The letter Kathy T holds in her hand is also a 2D pict, a scanned envelope that really did come all the way from Vietnam, over 30 years ago. The photo she holds is of a GI who actually served in the Marines and fought in Vietnam: Michael Rodriguez.
